PalArt — Art for Palestine Auction
Jane Frere trained in theatre design at Central St Martin’s and The Slade School of Art 1988 to 1992. She worked internationally as a theatre designer and producer before dedicating her time as a fine artist and printmaker. Much of her work is political/humanitarian issue related in some way. She collaborated with the renowned British architect the late Will Alsop RA OBE as a printmaker for works exhibited at The RA Summer Show 2016 to 2018.
From 2016 to 2018, her primary project has focused on BREXIT. She has a pastel mural installation on permanent display at Summerhall, Edinburgh; “protestmaskproject” which addresses the correlation between the Trump/Brexit vote and the use/misuse of our personal data to influence the electoral process.
Under Covid “lockdown” she is using isolation to explore new subjects and the impact of colour. Instagram.
